I have a feeling we are going to learn a lot from this little RV trip we’re on. Check out below for our growing list of lessons learned from La Tortuga. Maybe, just maybe, you can learn from our mistakes!
Lesson #1: Always call ahead and check availability before driving into the middle of nowhere.
Lesson #2: Wake early. Depart for new destination early. Arrive in the daylight. Sit back with a cool Happy Hour drink.
Lesson #3: Always measure the size of your screws (twice or even three times) before drilling into the roof of your RV.
Lesson #4: Never pay for a week of camping until you scope out your surroundings for a better option!
Lesson #5: Never park your RV underneath a giant palm tree just to be near the swanky palapa…unless you like 1000 ants crawling around inside your RV cupboards, walls and floors.
Lesson #6: Don’t spend an hour changing your own tire along a Mexican toll road when you can call the Green Angels for FREE help.
