Today we are in Bahia de Los Angeles, Baja.

Our new friends sent us a message that some turtles are hatching by the lighthouse, which was about 2 miles away. When we got there 17 had hatched. It started at 2:00 in the morning. Some people camped that night and we got there around 8:15. It was so cool watching them come out of the ground. One of them kept trying to climb up the grate that we put there and fell on its back two times but it got up. The people who camped put a turtle in a big shell. I got to put him ten feet away from the water so we could watch him go. It was so cool. Today they are opening the nest to see what turtles did not make it and the ones that did not have enough energy to make it out of the nest. The ones that did make it were released at the same time so they could go to the water. There were lots of dogs so that made it way cooler.
